Here is Boston and Maine RS-3 #1505 ready to depart the Portsmouth, NH yard. Our Buddliner has taken us up from Boston and will soon depart on its return trip. My buddy and I have just paid for passage (yes, it was legitimate) to ride the caboose switching our way all the way to Manchester where we would connect to a passenger train back to Boston.Total cost for the round trip, a few bucks - the memory, priceless!
