Nothing Smoked Like An ALCOCNW 54 (RS-2) leans into a cut of cars in the yard in Tracy, MN and emits a cloud of oily black smoke while the turbocharger tries to catch up with the acceleration of the engine. CNW 54 was built in 1949 as CGW 54 and came the to C&NW in 1968 as part of the merger of the Chicago Great Western into the Chicago & North Western
