Headed for Black Rock Quarry.

Southwestern Portland Cement Company's Victorville, CA cement plant, (now CEMEX), is served by its own well maintained combination of railroad and haul road. With Bell Mountain in the background the tinted windowed, air conditioned, 2000 hp FM wastes no time moving water cars and empty hoppers across the desert.

Photographed by Ken Patton, February, 1982.
Added to the photo archive by Ken Patton, July 22, 2018.
