Fast Freight, West Germany.
Electrification had just begun as this freight train, (one of many such moves), dashed through the Mosel River Valley. The Class 44 leading, is a heavy, three-cylindered 2-10-0, mainstay of heavy "goods" and coal train traffic on both DB and DR.
