westbound at AyerA Boston & Maine freight led by a GP18 and three GP9s has finished its work at Ayer, MA, on a spring afternoon and is headed west to Mechanicville. Lashups of three to five GP9s and GP18s were the most common road power on the Fitchburg Division at the time.
