Photo of CENTRAL VERMONT - BRATTLEBORO, VT
CENTRAL VERMONT - BRATTLEBORO, VT

I shot the coaling tower in May 1954 when it was still busy serving 2-8-0's, 0-8-0's and an occasional 2-10-4. In 1951 when I was starting a model rr layout, the Model Railroader ran a multi-part detailed article on building the CV coal tower at St. Albans which was a virtual duplicate of this one. I built a pretty good model of it.
