Photo of Ontario Central 14
Ontario Central 14

This photo was not taken on the ONCT, but don\\\'t remember where. Loco appears to be an ex DH S-2. Photo taken somewhere in the Binghamton Oneonta area (I think) in Aug-Sept 1984. Any help on location and history will be appreciated.

Photographed by Bruce Nelson, August, 1984.

Visitor Comments about this Photo:

I'm guessing this photo was taken on the Tioga Central RR at Owego, The interweb indicates that ONCT 14 started as Buffalo Creek 46 (buillt 2/47) and then on C-day became Conrail 9662. But pretty quickly CR sold the S-2 to ONCT in 1976 who in turn sold it to Tioga Central in 1984. Apparently TC didn't keep it very long as it ended up on the New York and Lake Erie a year later or so. Lastly, in late 2014, it appears that well-traveled (but only within NYS) #14 went to Livonia, Avon, and Lakeville RR's leased Bath & Hammondsport property at Cohocton, NY where apparently it still operates!
