MBTA Rail Wash Express

On a Sunday morning in mid-November of 2011, the MBTA rail washer train visited the normally trainless Needham line to clean the leaf scum off the main and sidings. The wash train has visited end of track at Needham Heights and is on its way back to the NEC passing eastward through the Hersey station (originally called the Bird's Hill station but renamed in 1980 in honor of "Mr Commuter Rail" Needham selectman Henry D. Hersey). Interesting collection of power and equipment.
