NECR 2674 (SD40M-2) and NECR 2714 head north light across CSX at Palmer, MA to get in position on the front of the day's northbound road freight, cars to the right blocking the Amtrak connection from NECR to CSX. The power would be on the train before the southbound Vermonter reached Palmer
