Flying through Charlestown NH at track speed (26 minutes behind schedule) Train #56 -- "The Vermonter" heads rapidly northbound for its next station stop at Charlemont NH in about another ten minutes. The church chimes here in town sounded "six bells" just as Engine 106 whistled for the crossing and the short group of coaches breezed past the former iconic Charlestown & Springfield Station on a beautiful last day of May.
