PanAm Southern AD-1 (NBPO) -- Wednesday November 25, 2015With one shopping month till Christmas and the day before Thanksgiving staring at all of us on today's calendar, upon reflection it's not often that North Bennington Vt. hosts nine locomotives in the busy local yard. Looking east on the south leg of the wye the newly arrived AD-1 power is pausing after dropping their inbound cars for the VTR B&R turn. The Vermont power is headed by one less loco (4) and will escape back north to Rutland. This quintet will shortly tie on to 83 slurry cars and change their "moniker" to NBPO -- the renamed originating unit slurry train will head out of town with a destination focusing on the Maine paper mills after the sun sets and the recrew arrives.
