Green Mountain Railway Alco RS1 No. 405 chugs southbound past the former Rutland RR freight house at Gassetts, Vermont with an excursion train. The vintage 1950s Alco headed up two weeks of excursion trains between Chester and Ludlow, VT. There were also excursions between Chester and Rockingham, VT. The old freight house seen here is now used by a stone company.
