Pan Am Southern train 287 is seen basking in the late-afternoon sweet light at Buckland, Mass. The lead engine is the NS heritage engine 1074, "The Lackawanna". I stopped by earlier in the day but came back later to see if the train was still tied down. I'm glad I did because the sweet light did not last more than 5 minutes and then the sun went down behind the mountain. The train was still there when I left around 6:30 PM on Sunday (It departed Sunday night).
