VTR B&R action -- Friday September 18, 2015

VTR's B&R turn heads south out of Arlington Vt. with 29 cars on Friday September 18. 207-203-303 are revving up to tackle the prevailing grade from here into Shaftsbury, and with the car count consisting of mostly loads they will earn their keep for the next few miles. In the middle it was nice to see the "beautified" 203 fixed up from its encounter with a large pine tree on Monday as the pilot and staircase grab rails have been straightened and to some extent repainted. To the right, Cemetery Road rises a short distance to where my grandfather was buried -- hopefully in spirit looking down the hill with interest at the passing trains he always enjoyed. (circa 1957)
