VTR 207 with C&P 306 and a GATX unit keep a moderate pace on the rising grade southbound out of Manchester Vt. The 35 cars in tow are all loads, and include four outbound gondolas of marble blocks. The crew is keeping their fingers crossed that there will be enough room available at North Bennington to successfully drop the interchange cars and be able to maneuver back north to Rutland. With the cold weather today (Feb 25th) and the depth of snow cover throughout New England, a reminder that fits the day -- "only ten shopping months till Christmas."
