This open car is one of two pieces of rolling stock remaining from Oregon Pacific's former "Samtrak" excursion train, which operated on the East Portland branch in the 1990s and early 2000s.

The railroad brings the car out for special occasions, such as the July 4, 2012 open house at Portland's Oaks Park. It is shown coupled to OPR GMD1 #1413.
