On the approaches to Chippenham station, I had expected Britannia class Pacific 70013 "Oliver Cromwell", with support car at about 40mph, light engine to Bristol, ready for a main line appointment today.
What I got was Cromwell, the whole consist for today, and the supporting class 47 diesel as well, at a speed rather more than 40mph...
