Sic Transit Scrapyard

One victim of the recent gleaning of scrap iron around the Gardner Mass yard was this relic of B&M days. The signal bridge stood for probably 80 if not 100 years on the main line and was useful only to railfans to add interest to photos. It was unceremoniously chopped-up and hauled off to the scrapper last Friday. Pictured here in September of 2009.
