On the way back from a family vacation in Utica, NY; I was coerced by my railfanatic son (I wonder where he gets that from??) into following a intermodal train paralleling I-88 in Oneonta, NY. (He didn't have to twist my arm too hard either.)

We managed to get ahead of the train and pull over in a little used industrial park on the west side of Oneonta, that also happened to be trackside and we watched the train come to a stop not fifty or so feet from us.
