This is what is left of Ayer Junction. Looking toward Machias.The tracks are removed on the Machias (West) side of the road. The pile of ties are not bundled so they must not be that great. The track was ripped up this summer/fall. The State of Maine is making it a multi-use trail. Places might make for a scenic mountain bike ride.
