Photo of Empty gondolas at Lawrence
Empty gondolas at Lawrence

These 2 gondolas were in the string of cars the Lawrence switcher brought in from "17 east." I'm assuming these cars were from BOLA's train, which was a nighttime symbol during this period and featured gondolas loaded with scrap metal that were routed to Salem, MA.

Photographed by Joe Doyle, June, 1991.
Added to the photo archive by Kevin Larkin, December 1, 2008.
Railroad: Guilford.
