For those not on the Flying Yankee Newsletter Email List this communication arrived today from FYG President Brian McCarthy.

The restoration of the rebuilt trucks and wheel assemblies was completed by New Hampshire Central Railroad in North Stratford, NH last week. On Monday, Amtrak officials inspected the completed trucks and the work was officially approved, certifying that the trucks meet all applicable Amtrak requirements.

Here Carl Lindblade (l), Vice-Chairman of the Flying Yankee Restoration Group, greets Ed Jeffries of New Hampshire Central Railroad on Tuesday as the first two of the restored truck assemblies were returned to Lincoln. The forward two trucks arrived Wednesday morning.
