Restoration meets RestorationNewly restored armstrong style Turntable meets restored MEC 10 Railbus and takes it for a spin. This is the first time a self powered piece of equipment has rolled onto the table. Also this is the first time the railbus has operated with her restored vacuum brakes, previous runs a few years ago had been solely with her hand brake.
The Connecticut Eastern Railroad Museum will be celebrating the return to operations for the turntable on June 8th. Come on down and join us for `The Turn Of the Century'
After 10 years of struggling, we finally have a working turntable at the Connecticut Eastern Railroad Museum. This table was built shortly before 1900 by Boston Bridgeworks for the B&A and was originally installed in Dudley Mass. The original table for the Columbia Junction Roundhouse was scrapped around WWII. For more information please come to the museum or visit our webpage, www.cteastrrmuseum.org
