Gold Ore Mining

The effects of gold ore mining are not good for the landscape, highway 67 in the foreground, old mines from the 1800's, & current mining above. Following 67 to Victor reveals the other side of that hill which is just a huge pile of large rubble & debris , remnants of mining on a grand scale.

Photographed by George Contrada, June 20, 2007.
