On a cloudy day my father took this "experimental" photo of Rutland 4-6-0 No. 74 and southbound Train 88, a milk train, passing the "depot" at Thompsons Point near Charlotte, Vermont. The "depot" was just a shelter for the flag stop here. People who had summer cottages ("camps" in New England lingo) at Thompsons Point could get on or off the Rutland trains. My grandparents owned a cottage at Deer Point (part of Thompsons Point) and the family would take the train from here to Boston and their home in Newtonville, Mass.
