MEC 517, sitting idle just south of the Durham platform. Looks pristine! I thought I had seen one of these two engines hauling freight earlier in the day, but maybe I had the number wrong since these look far too clean to have been out hauling freight cars just a couple hours earlier. Moments after this photo was shot, the horn blew and the train headed south.
