CN in New Brunswick........1987

Twenty years ago to this day, Extra CN 1769 South is ready to switch from CP trackage, to its own at South Devon ( Fredericton ), N.B. It will soon back up into the yard, to the right of this scene.

The train has travelled 65 miles, using running rights over CP trackage, from CN's isolated Centerville branch.

The weather is similiar to the storm that passed through the Northeast, February 14 / 15th, 2007. The track here was all removed around the mid nineties......now part of an extensive walking trail system.

Photographed by Brian Barchard, February 15, 1987.
