CP in New Brunswick.....Gone, not forgotten

Extra 1831 South, with RS-18's #'s 1831, 8751 and 8736 are the power for the train on the Gibson Subdivision at Fredericton, N.B. The destruction of two CP bridges in the upper St. John River Valley, by spring flooding on April 01st, 1987, lead to detour traffic over the Gibson Sub. The train lengths at this time were much longer than what had been the norm over the branch.
