A 30-minute or so late #173, Amtrak's Regional from Boston to Washington, arrives on Track 1, with AEM-7 #901 for power. I got on and grabbed a seat in the second car on the train.

We arrived into Penn Station about 20 minutes late - not bad considering a couple stops on Metro North's line. But prior to arriving at NHV, we cruised down the Shore Line, my first trip on this line powered by an electric locomotive. Can't wait to do the Shore Line east to Boston some day soon.

The next day, I took Metro North from Grand Central to New Haven. Alas, I didn't take any pictures. Next time.
