With not much time left to go, S-Motor 4715 sits in Harmon Yard after mechanical difficulties make its pulling a consist for a "Farewell to the S-Motor" trip improbable. Even stationary, these were impressive motors, whose performance proved that electrification was vastly superior to steam seventy-six years prior.
