Gathering leaves

...is about all the Newburyport Branch does in Lynnfield. The corridor was last used by Guilford Rail System in 2001, but the deteriorating tracks had been the location (and likely the cause) of numerous derailments in their final active years. The towns of Lynnfield and Wakefield are actively pursuing the creation of a recreational trail on the line. While politicians, residents, and the track owners discuss and rediscuss, the vegetation thickens.
