CCRR -- The beginnings

Check out this motive power lineup in Hyannis on a spring day in 1991(?)

From left to right we see two Burlington Northern Geeps, one of which will become CCRR 1789. In the engine house we can see the snoot of MBTA F10 1114. Outside the house, CCRR Alco 1058 suns herself. F10 1101 is next, displaying her faded orange and purple paint, and finally MBTA 1823 (later CCRR 1823), a chopped-nose Geep. All of these engines, except one of the BN Geeps which was used for parts, would see service on the CCRR during the 90's
