New Toy for Mid State RecoveryMid State recently received this Trackmobile to shove their loads around. Apparently 3 fully loaded hoppers of Construction Debris is the usable limit of this model. From reports it seems that Mid State is now part of Murphy Road (Hartford, Ct) Recycling, thus the supply of MRRC hoppers on site.
The track was wet, and with the wheels slipping the Trackmobile was just barely moving them, until they manually placed some sand on the rails, but she was still struggling.
Now she is kicking up some dust as she goes over the traction sand that the operator placed on the rail, since they were practically going nowhere on the wet rails.
This unit is interesting, unlike most models made by Trackmobile, she is a tri-cycle. On the street, she rides on the 2 rear wheels that can be seen in the raised position in the photo, and there is a third, possibly double wheel under the center of the unit, which is also used for steering.
