Chaplin Station - Willimatic, Connecticut"The Connecticut Eastern Railroad Museum is an all volunteer organization that is dedicated to the preservation of railroad history in Eastern Connecticut. CERM volunteers are building a museum on the site of the former New Haven Railroad freight yard known as 'Columbia Junction'.
For nearly a century, Willimantic was a major railroad hub for Southern New England.
The museum will be a combination of the restored and reconstructed original facilities, historic building from around Eastern Connecticut, and new buildings". - from CERM literature
