Unique hopper cars belonging to Dragon These strange hopper cars are used to transport cement approximately 8 miles from the Dragon plant in Thomaston Maine to the Rockland waterfront where they are offloaded onto barges. The barges deliver to various locations on the east coast much cheaper than the railroads can. Photographed by Brad Libby, June 27, 2002. Added to the photo archive by Brad Libby, February 24, 2004.
