NYC RDC Budd Car Eastbound at Palmer,MA

Here is a late 1950's photograph. This is what appears to be an RDC-1. It is heading eastbound into the Palmer, MA Station. This is just before the crossovers of the Central Vermont. It has just crossed the bridge over the river. The car is passing the base for the old control tower. The signal in the background to the right still stands today and currently serves the New England Central. Rather than black, the signal is now silver. This scene is similar today also. The double track and double crosstrack are gone though.

Photographed by David Worth, 1958.
Added to the photo archive by Xian Clere, January 19, 2004.
Railroad: New York Central.
