Waiting for steam to build...

Engineer Rick Knight (left) and fireman Steve Healy look less than thrilled to be under tow from a diesel as engine #7 is moved to the end of track for steam-up. Normal proceedure on the Maine Narrow Gauge is to tow the steamers to a far point on the railroad before lighting the fire, ensuring that the wafting wood and coal smoke won't annoy the neighbors.
