Strange Bedfellows at WUS

On my way south to witness the 44th Daytona 500 last February, I changed trains at Washington.

After detraining from the Acela Express trainset at right, I found Amtrak's "Corridor Clipper" on an adjacent track.

I was booked on Train 95 intially, but upgraded to the Express when 95 had engine trouble at BOS. This change gave me an extra hour in our nation's capitol.

I was able to squeeze off two shots before someone with a two-way radio said I didn't have permission to take pictures there.
