AMTK 910, derailed at Canton Jct

A shot of AEM-7 No. 910 on the ground at Canton Jct. This view was taken a few hours after the derailment. This view looks west.

The crane can be seen lifting a coach back onto the rail. At this point in time, the rest of the train was sitting on track 2 in the station.

An irony of this derailment is in the shadow in the image's foreground. The interlocking was equipped with 480v trackway lights. One lamp can be seen mounted to the catenary support. However, before the MofW forces set to work, the catenary was deenergized ... rendering this lighting useless!
