B&M Shops in Boston (I Think)I got this photo from my grandmother, She said that my great grandfather (oliver lewis) took it. the smokestack says B and M. All I know about the photo is that it was taken in Boston, MA
Archive Maintainer Note: D. A. Taylor reports that this photo shows the B&M powerhouse in the distance, and the B&M enginehouse (the roundhouse directly to the right). This area is at what used to be refered to as lower yard #8. It also shows the coal cars as they are lined up to dump coal for the power house and something few people probably are aware of today: The Greesy Spoon, a small resturant located between the powerhouse and the enginehouse, was maintained by the mechanical department, provided some pretty fair meals and was somewhere coffee was always available.
