ice out!Due to recent snowfall followed by unseasonably warm temperatures and heavy rain, the Hudson River is flowing again, taking with it a number of boats and barges which slipped their moorings in Troy and floated downstream, including this one: The Captain JP III, stuck under the Albany Amtrak bridge. The trains were still running as evidenced by this picture taken from the east side of the river in Rensselaer.
