Temporary signals from the past? Hello this shot is in Hallowell, Me. While trying to take photos of the track gang doing Tamper and gradre crossing cleaning along this line I noticed these signals. These temp signals hanging here I believe where installed in the Summer of 2002 when The Belfast and Mosshead lake Railroad ran a Bud car from Hallowell to Richmond. These temp signals are hard wired in the signal post. I was told that when the Excursion Train comes up on this line this Saturday that all at-grage crossings will be flag crossings. It will be interesting to see if and or all of these at-grade crossing still operate.
