HALF-WAYCentral Vermont N-5-a 2-8-0 472 is being serviced at Palmer, MA about half-way on a New London-Brattleboro excursion. The pit in front is for inspection - the ash pit is near the rear of the train. I am standing in front of the turntable at this compact facility which once had a single stall enginehouse.
