Heading up to Ayer/Shirley was surprised to catch this as part of the consist at New Bond Street. Midcoast Rail service, a subsidiary of Finger Lakes Railway, began operations on Sept. 8, 2022 after assuming the lease and operations of the state of Maine owned Rockland branch line from Canadian Pacific.
The 58.68-mile line was purchased by the state of Maine in 1987 from the Maine Central Railroad, and runs between Brunswick and Rockland.
