Palmer's Conrail Glory Days #12 - Vermonter Heading WestAn Amtrak trainman climbs aboard AMTK 9640, an control cab that will lead the Vermonter during its reverse run from Palmer to Springfield, from whence it will proceed normally to New Haven and points south. At this time I was deliberately trying to catch railroads (and even railfans) at work in my photos, as is apparent in some of the photos in this continuing series. After 25 years I don't think there should be any repercussions due to my not getting permission back then to share the photos.
More trains from this day are yet to appear (once their photos are post-processed).
