Palmer's Conrail Glory Days #2 - 5 NECR Units at Work5 New England Central diesels: NECR 9536 (GP38), NECR 9539 (GP38), NECR 95xx (some flavor of GP38), NECR 3048 (GP40) and NECR 9510 (GP38AC) shove back toward home rails along the track connecting NECR to Conrail. I do not recall whether they were just yarding a train in their upper yard or returning from Conrail with interchange freight.
NECR 3078 wears BN's 'white-face' scheme; built for the B&O, it was returned to the lessor who had it rebuilt of the Livingston Rebuild Center in Livingston, MT before leasing it to BN as BN 3078. After its BN career it worked for the Missouri & North Arkansas before they leased it to the New England Central. 3 years after this photo it would become NECR 4047
