BNSF Unit Coal Train Departing Holbrook, AZBNSF 4155 (C44-9W) leads an eastbound empty unit coal train on to the former Santa Fe mainline at Holbrook, AZ. Both the light blue color of the hoppers making up the train and the location where the train is entering the mainline suggest that at least the cars in this train are coming off the Apache Railway, which has its only connection with the outside world in Holbrook.\r
I spent a few hours one morning in Holbrook, photographing 5 trains: 3 intermodal/stack, 1 mixed freight, and this coal train. All 5 were led by the same model locomotive: C44-9W\'s. The C44-9W\'s were a year or so old at the time. No specialization by locomotive model evident here.
