NA-1 518 & NEGS 2555 by the Concord Yard TowerNew England Southern's shiny yellow SW1500 was left on the "Yard 10 Track" to the north of the yard tower by the NEGS 2.0 Crew recently. Surprisingly, it sat there for almost a week untouched by vandals, thieves, or 'Railroad Rembrants". The reason for the Concord stay: The Pan Am Crews would grab #2555 to begin a trek across Pan Am's system to Bellows Falls. The new owners of NEGS 2.0, Vermont Railway, is having 2555 shipped to their Burlington Shops.
Here, the 2555 and the two empty tank cars had to be moved from the Yard 10 track and shoved onto the "Team Track" so the NA-1 Crew could crossover onto the Yard 10 track with two loads of telephone poles to be delivered that were behind a few empty center beam cars. This was the "Shove Move" onto the Team Track. The NA-2 Crew would take 2555 out of Concord later that evening.
MEC 518 is the current road power for the Nashua Crews, last appearing on these rails in Concord around September 2015.
