The class unit

Apparently AT&SF's lowest numbered SD40, #1700, was delivered in a batch of 20 units in the spring of 1966 but four years later the engine was renumbered to #5000 (and was re-painted with the cigar band logo). Here it leads a westbound near Belen, NM in the early '90s. By 1999, #5000 became BNSF #6300 but kept its SF blue & yellow paint scheme. And 2010 or so, #6300 was seen at Larry's Truck & Electric in Ohio.
