Background Comes to The ForegroundThe used power market is booming as exemplified by the lead unit B&M GP-40 #343 Where the darker Conrail blue is bleeding through a hastily applied B&M blue, not to mention the Conrail markings on the sides. It is followed by D&H GP-39 #7415 with the zebra stripes and diamond showing through betraying its Reading beginnings. The last engine hardly hides the Reading markings let alone the Reading green. All seen here just ducking under East Main Street Bridge in Ayer with a long eastbound freight going out of sight in the background.
